Infineon features an industry-best 40 V MOSFET line with its latest OptiMOS™ 6 40V silicon technology and an innovative new PQFN 8x6 package solution. This unlocks the capability of both high power and power-density products for a wide range of applications.
Their latest devices in the family are offered in our latest innovative, compact clip-based PQFN 8x6 mm2 package to fill the gap between PQFN 5x6 and TOLL. Optimized for currents up to 650 A, this package enables ultra-low RDS(on) of 0.55 mΩ combined with outstanding thermal performance and ultra-low parasitics for best efficiency.
Seamless backward compatibility with PQFN 5x6 enables power scalability of the same board or less paralleling of MOSFETs. PQFN 8x6 can easily replace two PQFN 5x6 products with similar performance. This facilitates reduced overall part count with a robust single-chip solution and board space savings of 27%.
Significant improvement in power density when used to replace TOLL with a footprint reduction of > 50%, allowing for more compact designs.
