Features & Applications

The Z8FMC160100KITG is a Development Kit with Flash MCU based eZ8 8-bit CPU core, optimized for motor control applications. It supports control of single and multiphase variable speed motors. This Motor Control Development Kit is our affordable yet comprehensive development tool for the Z8 Encore MC Z8FMC16100 Series Motor Control microcontrollers.

It includes a development board with the Z8FMC16 device which plugs into a Brushless DC (BLDC) application board with a BLDC motor. Included is also an opto-isolated USB smart cable for safe programming and debugging and our ZDS II integrated development environment (IDE) with a full ANSI C-Compiler. Target applications are consumer appliances, HVAC,factory automation, refrigeration, and automotive applications.

Three spade lug connectors, one for each motor phase
Dual power MOSFETs for each motor phase
Heat-sink temperature sensor
Spade lug connectors for power input from adjustable 24 VDC power source (for connecting to the 3-phase motor)
5 A fuse, F1
Two 60-pin headers for connection to the MC MDS Module (JP1 and JP2; JP1 used for physical mounting only)
