Microchip MIC24066/7 High Performance Switching Buck Regulator

36V synchronous switching regulators with 6A load current capability

The Microchip MIC24066/7 are a family of high performance 36V synchronous switching regulators with 6A load current capability. The MIC24066/7 are wide input range (4.5V-36V) switching regulators with integrated FETs. The output voltage is adjustable down to 0.6V with ±1% accuracy. The Hyper Speed Control® proprietary architecture allows for ultra-fast transient response while reducing the output capacitance. These devices offer a full suite of protection features to ensure safe operation of the IC during fault conditions. These include UVLO, hiccup current limit short circuit protection and thermal shutdown. The MIC24066/7 are available in a 36-pin 5 mm x 6 mm, Wettable Flank VQFN with a junction operating range from -40°C to +125°C.

MIC24066 Evaluation Board: EV69G45A

The MIC2466/7 Evaluation Board is used to demonstrate high voltage input Step-Down design, which can deliver up to 95% efficiency to a broad range of output voltages. The board accepts up to 36V input voltage, regulating down to 0.6V output voltage. The Evaluation Board is programmed for 5V output. The MIC24066/7 and the board can be loaded up to 6A continuous output current.
