Infineon has introduced their MOTIX™ 160 V isolated gate drivers based on Silicon-On-Insulator (SOI) technology with typical source and sink currents up to 8A. The parts come in the small footprint 3x3 mm VSON-10 package and are JEDEC qualified.

Integrated bootstrap diodes are used to supply the external high side bootstrap capacitor. Protection features include under voltage lockout on both Vcc and VB pins, deadtime protection circuitry, matched propagation delays, and negative voltage transient tolerance of the Vs pin.

This family has a selection of source and sink current levels with source currents up to 4A and sink currents up to 8A. The large number of drive choices and protection features enable easier design and compact circuitry solutions in space constrained applications.

The 2ED27xx is fully qualified for industrial applications according to the relevant tests of JEDEC78/20/22.
