Description, Purpose and Effect of Change: PROCESS UPDATE: Semtech has qualified its tier 2 supplier to change the substrate's Ni/Au plating process from TSG (Traditional Selective Gold) to DPS (Double Pattern Sputter). The TSG machine has been phased out as of September 2022, so this change is required to ensure continuous supply of the affected part numbers listed above.
Description, Purpose and Effect of Change:Semtech has qualified ASEM as an alternative source for the assembly of 11x11mm 100L BGA package products.The change will ensure adequate capacity and flexibility from two qualified assembly sites (ASEK and ASEM). Furthermore, assembly-test turnkey in ASEM will shorten the production lead time.Impact to Performance, Characteristics or Reliability:Overall qualification meets the requirements for assembly, testing, and reliability. The change has no effect on performance, characteristics, or reliability.
