Overview:

Tyco Electronics is the world’s leading connector manufacturer.  Tyco Electronics USB (Universal Serial Bus) family of connectors is a complete interconnection technology for I/O devices such as keyboards, mice, game port, serial port devices, digital audio, printers, scanners, etc.

The USB system will consists of a single 4-position boardmount receptacle and mating cable mount overmolded plug.  Boardmount receptacles are available in standard, Type B, stacked and side by side configurations adding to the system’s versatility to meet all USB applications.

Series A Receptacle Assemblies are designed for a broad market.  This series consists of Standard A receptacles and plugs, as well as locking versions of the Standard A receptacles and latching versions of the Standard A plugs.  Receptacles are available in surface mount and through hole solder tail configurations with right angle, stacked, flag, edge and vertical mount styles.   Parts are available with USB 2.0 compliance certification numbers as needed.

173466-1 is a Universal USB Series A straight single port 4 positions Receptacle with through-hole termination.

The 173466-1 Series A female receptacles are available with optional metal-to-metal grounding fingers.
