This PCN is informational only and no further actions are necessary from your side, as this extension does not have any impact to form, fit or function change. The material itself will remain Liquid Silicon Rubber (abbreviation: LSR or VMQ), as stated on the general TE customer drawing. The PN of seal in scope of this PCN is a general sales / catalogue part. Therefore, no contractual agreement related to sub-supplier selection is applicable. VDA 2 Trigger matrix use case 30 and PPAP towards Customer/s are not applicable too. TE Change process follows a strict procedure, which fully maintains quality and ability to supply. Internal release process is ensured by TE, including product validation.Reason for Changes:Customer Request.The supplier base extension is needed to protect our customers and TE Connectivity from material shortages risks and ensure deliveries. TE Connectivity continue using LSR material for the single wire seals.
