Features & Applications
The AS22AP is a Sub Mini DPDT On-None-On Vertical Through Hole Slide Switch. The AS Series from NKK is a subminiature slide. The antistatic superstructure of carbon blended polyacetal prevents static discharge to the contacts. The AS series is available in molded-in, epoxy sealed, or ultrasonically welded terminals, which prevents contact contamination from flux, solvents and other contaminants.
The A series slide switches are process compatible and incorporate NKK’s award winning STC (Sliding Twin Crossbar) mechanism. This contact design ensures unparalleled switching reliability and a smoother positive detent action. These devices also feature a totally sealed body construction, allowing them to withstand the automated soldering techniques standard in today’s manufacture and assembly of finished products.
These slide actuated devices are available in various actuator lengths. In addition, they feature an anti-static superstructure of carbon-impregnated polyamide to prevent static discharge to the contacts. These devices are offered in single pole or double pole maintained circuits.
NKK’s A series of slide switches are rated 0.4VA Maximum @ 28V AC/DC maximum. Their subminiature size saves space on PC boards. Engineers can specify from several different mounting options including straight PC in bracketed and unbracketed models, vertical and right angle mounts. All terminals are molded in and epoxy sealed and ultrasonically welded to lock out flux and other contaminants. Terminal spacing is .100” X .100” conforming to standard PC board grid spacing.
Key Features:
- The A series slides have not been tested for UL recognition
- These switches are designed for use in a low-voltage, low-current, logic-level circuit
- When used as intended in a logic-level circuit, the results do not produce hazardous energy
