Introducing New TE Connectivity TV-8 Rated OJT Series Power Relays
Does your design require high inrush capability? Looking to save valuable space on the PCB?
The need to embed more functionality into smaller spaces is becoming a requirement as engineers are designing new applications. TE Connectivity’s new 10A TV-8 rated OJT power relays (2071507-1, 2071508-1 and 2071509-1) offer a compact and powerful design solution that can withstand up to a 117A inrush current in a 40% smaller size, compared to similarly rated relays. This makes them ideal for board designs with limited space on or above the printed circuit board (PCB). For that reason, the OJT Series is ideal for applications that require high inrush resistance on loads which inrush current occurs, such as lighting and smart devices.
The TE Connectivity OJT Series 15.2mm (H) design is UL TV-8 rated to comply with global industry safety standards for high inrush applications. The UL TV-8 rating enables OJT 10A TV-8 relays to be used in devices that have high inrush current when the switch is turned on - helping ensure safety and reliability. OJT TV-8 relays are a 1 form A, 1 NO (normally open) contact arrangement rated up to 10 amps at 250 volts AC.
