Panasonic Sensor Solutions streamlines ever-changing new applications in the detection of rotational speed and angle, position, flow, velocity, temperature, currents and much more. This provides design engineers with the flexibility to easily choose and implement the sensor technology they need for existing and new applications, all from one reliable, quality supplier.

Find the right sensor for your project below, whether it be home appliances, industrial automation, electronic devices, medical equipment or even automotive solutions.

Grid-EYE® Infrared Array Sensor

Basically a thermal camera, just in a lower resolution. Featuring a built-in lens with a 60-degree viewing angle, the Panasonic Grid-EYE® is an 8x8 (64) pixel infrared array sensor offers digital output (I2C) for thermal presence, direction, and temperature values. Grid-EYE® features a compact SMD design using MEMS thermopile technology. Applications for this sensor can include: digital signage, security, lighting control, kiosks/ATMs, medical imaging, automatic doors, thermal mapping, people counting, robotics, and others.

Grid-EYE® Unit Infrared Array Sensor

Four Grid-EYE® Infrared Array Sensors team up to increase the detection area up to 3.8m squared. The Grid-EYE Unit comes preloaded with firmware capable of detecting and counting up to 8 people, in addition to tracking their direction of movement. The Sensor transmits this information via RS485 using Modbus protocol, a commonly-available method used for transmitting information between electronic devices. Applications include smarter building management systems and of course, people tracking.

Pressure Sensors

Finding the right pressure sensor for your application is not an easy task since every application has its own set of criteria. Important things to consider are measurement factors such as pressure range and output; environmental factors such as temperature range and corrosion of the gas or liquid being measured; or even production factors such as package size and cost. Thankfully, here to make all that easier is our line of high precision Panasonic pressure sensors for industrial, medical and other gauge equipment uses.

Laser Type PM Sensors

The Panasonic SN-GC Series Laser Type Particulate Matter Sensor can be used to detect a wide variety of particulate matter including, but not limited to, dust, fly ash, soot, smoke, aerosols, fumes, mists and condensing vapors, solid fuels, construction materials, cooking/smoking of plant matter, fireplaces and furnaces, house/forest fires and waste incineration. The list goes on.

The overall lifespan of the sensor can be extended much longer than its average commercially available equivalent. It has been programmed so that the fan will operate based on the amount of particle dust surrounding the laser diode. This sensor is equipped with an on-board microprocessor, micro-fan and laser diode.
