The i.MX 8M Plus family by NXP is designed to excel in machine learning, vision, advanced multimedia, and industrial automation, delivering high reliability for applications in Smart Home, Building, City, and Industry 4.0 environments. Featuring a powerful quad or dual Arm® Cortex®-A53 processor and a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) capable of operating at up to 2.3 TOPS, it enables robust AI performance. Advanced vision capabilities are supported by dual image signal processors (ISP) and two camera inputs. The family also offers impressive multimedia features, including video encoding and decoding (h.265), 3D/2D graphic acceleration, and comprehensive audio and voice functionalities.
For real-time control, the i.MX 8M Plus integrates a Cortex-M7 core, dual CAN FD, and dual Gigabit Ethernet with Time Sensitive Networking (TSN), ensuring robust connectivity and control. With DRAM inline ECC, the family is built to meet high industrial reliability standards.
