Infineon XENSIV™ TLE4973 Magnetic Current Sensor

Known for high precision

The Infineon TLE4973 is a miniature coreless magnetic current sensor known for its high precision in both AC and DC measurements, featuring an analog interface and a fast over-current detection output. Unlike open-loop sensors using flux concentration techniques, this TLE4973 sensor effectively avoids negative effects such as saturation and hysteresis. Its differential measurement principle excels in suppressing stray fields, making it suitable for operation in challenging environments.

With high configurability, the sensor can be customized for various applications. User-programmable parameters, including OCD thresholds and sensitivity settings, are stored in an embedded EEPROM. Furthermore, in-situ device configuration is possible through a one-wire UART-based interface known as the Digital Control Diagnostic Interface (DCDI). This interface provides read/write access to internal registers, allows diagnostic mode triggering, and facilitates temperature, OCD, and safety status readings.

Additionally, it incorporates an auto-addressing functionality and can accommodate up to 8 slaves on a single bus.
