UPDATE: shows new improved version of SCD4x and SEK-SCD41-Sensor first shipments will begin on 05-22-2023 (From April). Change Description: This Infoletter covers a set of changes to the SCD41, part of the SCD4x product family. Increased peak reflow soldering temperature The peak reflow soldering temperature for the SCD4x is increased from 235?C to 245?C for closer alignment with reflow soldering standards (IPC/JEDEC J-STD-020). The increased peak reflow soldering temperature will have no impact on sensor function and any previously established reflow profiles can be maintained. Second source for the microphone A 2nd source for the microphone (a sub-component of the SCD4x products) has been established to increase the resili-ence of the supply chain. The 2nd source has been qualified to meet equivalent performance as the 1st source. Both sources may be used interchangeably on any of the SCD4x product family members. Device marking A laser marking on the side of the cap will be introduced containing the product type (e.g. SCD40) and serial number within a QR code. The laser marking will have no impact on dimensions or function of the cap.
