NXP MC33772C 6-Channel Li-ion Battery Cell Controller IC
The MC33772C is a Li-Ion battery cell controller IC designed for automotive and industrial applications such as HEV, EV, ESS, UPS systems.
Featuring:
- ADC conversions on the differential cell voltages with averaging up to 256 samples and currents as well as coulomb counting and temperature measurements
- Embedded balancing transistors and diagnostics to simplify applications
- Support standard SPI and transformer isolated daisy chain communication (with MC33664) to an MCU for processing and control up to 63 nodes in one daisy chain
- Loopback support for one daisy chain
MC33772C supports ISO26262 with single chip ASIL C and up to ASIL D functional safety capability. With comprehensive integrated diagnostics, it enables low BOM & development cost for BMS with high functional safety target.
MC33772C is pin to pin compatible with MC33772B and compatible with MC3366X.

The FRDM33772CSPEVB Evaluation Board (EVB) features the MC33772C, a 6-channel battery cell controller for automotive and industrial Li-ion battery applications. It supports cell voltage measurement, passive cell balancing and GPIOs.
The kit is designed to support customer development and evaluation. The device can be connected to NXP 6-cell battery emulator or a customer Li-ion battery module with 3~6 cells in series. The battery cell information is transferred to the microcontroller unit (MCU) through an SPI interface
The KIT33772CTPLEVB Evaluation Board (EVB) features the MC33772C, a 6-channel battery cell controller for automotive and industrial Li-ion battery applications. It supports cell voltage measurement, passive cell balancing and GPIOs.
