Dual-Core Arm® Cortex®-A55 Applications Processors with Machine Learning Acceleration, Real-time Domain and Advanced Security for Connected Edge Computing

Building on the market success of the i.MX 6 and i.MX 8 series, the i.MX 93 applications processor family debuts a new generation of performance efficient, intelligent and secure edge processors.

The i.MX 93 applications processors combine heterogeneous domain processing on the Arm Cortex-A55 and Arm Cortex-M33 core, highlighting NXP’s innovative Energy Flex architecture to maximize performance efficiency. Paired with the dedicated Arm Ethos™-U65 microNPU, developers can create more capable, cost-effective and energy-efficient ML applications. NXP’s EdgeLock® Secure enclave provides i.MX 93 with a preconfigured, self-managed and autonomous security subsystem to implement the necessary security functions in your edge applications.

The FRDM i.MX 93 development board is a low-cost and compact development board featuring the i.MX93 applications processor. Equipped with an onboard IW612 module, featuring NXP's Tri-Radio solution with Wi-Fi 6 + Bluetooth 5.4 + 802.15.4, the board is ideal for developing modern Industrial and IoT applications. This development board includes an HDMI display interface, LPDDR4/LPDDR4X, eMMC storage for quick boot times, PMIC and expansion capabilities.

The FRDM i.MX 93 board also supports GoPoint for i.MX Applications Processors, which accelerates the time to market by providing comprehensive demos for a variety of use cases.
