A delivery address may fall under a remote location category if the courier's nearest delivery depot is very far (or further away than normal) from the delivery address location. Each courier company has depots in different locations and therefore the remote location areas can vary from one courier to another.

Delivery addresses in remote location areas will usually take a bit longer to deliver and, depending on the location, an additional 24-48 hours is usually added onto the normal transit time for each service. Parcel delivery signatures or PODs (Proof of Delivery) may also take longer to be updated on the tracking information.
