The MOC3081M, MOC3082M and MOC3083M devices consist of a GaAs infrared emitting diode optically coupled to a monolithic silicon detector performing the function of a zero voltage crossing bilateral triac driver.
The MOC3083M is a 6-Pin DIP 800V zero crossing triac driver output optocoupler. It’s a single channel optocoupler with a maximum operating temperature of 85 degrees Celsius. The MOC3083M has a high isolation voltage of 5250 Vrms. This coupler has a maximum input current of 60 mA.The MOC3083M is designed for use with a discrete power triac in the interface of logic systems to equipment powered from 240 VAC lines, such as: Solenoid/valve controls, lighting controls, AC motor starters/drives, static power switches, solid state relays, and temperature controls.
