The MOC302XM series are optically isolated triac driver devices. These devices contain a GaAs infrared emitting diode and a light activated silicon bilateral switch, which functions like a triac. They are designed for interfacing between electronic controls and power triacs to control resistive and inductive loads for 115 VAC operations.
The MOC3023M is a 6-pin DIP 400V random phase triac driver output optocoupler. It’s a single channel optocoupler with a maximum operating temperature of 85 degrees Celsius. The MOC3023M has a high isolation voltage of 5300 Vrms. This coupler has a maximum input current of 60 mA.The MOC3023M can be used in an array of isolation applications such as: Industrial controls, traffic lights, vending machines, motor control, incandescent lamp dimmers, and lamp ballasts.
