More Information on Multilayer Inductors

What is a Multilayer Inductor?

A multilayer inductor contains a first conductive coil pattern and a second conductive coil pattern which are arranged in two layers in the upper part of a multi-layered body and are connected electrically in a consecutive manner in series to 2 more conductive coil patterns disposed in the lower part of the multi-layered body and therefore forming a spiral coil.

Types of Multilayer Inductors

There are many different kinds of multilayer inductors and at Future Electronics we stock many of the most common types categorized by Case Size/Dimension, Maximum Rated Current, Nominal Inductance, DC Resistance, Packaging type and Tolerance. The parametric filters on our website can help refine your search results depending on the required specifications.

The most common sizes for DC Resistance are 100 mΩ, 300 mΩ and 500 mΩ. We also carry multilayer inductors with DC Resistance as high as 11.5 Ω. Nominal Inductance can be between 2 nH and 100 µH, with the most common multilayer inductors having a Nominal Inductance of 4.7 nH, 100 nH, 1 µH or 10 µH.

Multilayer Inductors from Future Electronics

Future Electronics has a full selection of multilayer inductors from several manufacturers that can be used as smd (surface mount) inductors, multilayer chip inductors or for any circuit that might require an electrical inductor. Simply choose from the multilayer inductor technical attributes below and your search results will quickly be narrowed to match your specific multilayer inductor application needs.

If you have a preferred brand, we deal with several manufacturers such as AVX, Murata, Panasonic Industrial Devices or TDK, among other manufacturers. You can easily refine your multilayer inductor product search results by clicking your preferred multilayer inductor brand below from our list of manufacturers.

Applications for Multilayer Inductors:

Multilayer Inductors can be used in mobile communication systems and applications that require noise suppression at high frequency and impedance matching. In high-frequency applications, multilayer inductors can be used in signal processing modules such as mobile phones, Bluetooth, WLANs and tuners.

Choosing the Right Multilayer Inductor:

When you are looking for the right multilayer inductors, with the FutureElectronics.com parametric search, you can filter the results by various attributes: by Tolerance (± 30 %, ± 10 %, ± 5 %,…), Case Size/Dimension (0201, 0402, 0603, 0805,…) and Maximum Rated Current (up to 1.2 A) to name a few. You will be able to find the right multilayer inductor from several manufacturers that can be used as multilayer chip inductors, SMD (surface mount) inductors or for an electrical inductor.

Multilayer Inductors in Production Ready Packaging or R&D Quantities

If the quantity of multilayer inductors required is less than a full reel, we offer customers many of our products in tube, tray or individual quantities that will avoid unneeded surplus.

In addition, Future Electronics offers clients a unique bonded inventory program that is designed to eliminate potential problems that may arise from an unpredictable supply of products containing raw metals and products with erratic or long lead times. Talk with your nearest Future Electronics branch and find out more on how you and your company can avoid possible shortages.
