Tyco Electronics is the world’s leading connector manufacturer.  Tyco Electronics USB (Universal Serial Bus) family of connectors is a complete interconnection technology for I/O devices such as keyboards, mice, game port, serial port devices, digital audio, printers, scanners, etc.

The USB system will consists of a single 4-position boardmount receptacle and mating cable mount overmolded plug.   Boardmount receptacles are available in standard, Type B, stacked and side by side configurations adding to the system’s versatility to meet all USB applications.

USB Micro Connectors are designed for the most space saving requirements.   The Micro USB portfolio includes Micro A/B and B sizes, as well as a latching version of the Micro USB plug.   Micro receptacles are available in surface mount and through hole solder tail configurations with right angle and edge mount types.   Parts are available with USB 2.0 compliance certification numbers as needed.

1981568-1 is a Universal USB Series B right angle single port 5 positions Receptacle with surface mount termination.

The 1987568-1 Series B female receptacles are available with optional metal-to-metal grounding fingers.
