Allegro MicroSystems ACS37220 Magnetic Current Sensor

Offered in a 4x4mm QFN package designed to replace high-power sense resistors in high-current monitoring applications requiring an isolation voltage below 100V

The ACS37220 by Allegro MicroSystems is a compact, high-power-density 200A, 150kHz magnetic current sensor that brings greater efficiency to low-voltage applications (under 100V). Ideal for engineers looking to replace high-power sense resistors, the ACS37220 offers significantly lower resistance, a minimized footprint, and straightforward integration.

Engineered to handle currents up to 200A, the ACS37220 includes a user-configurable overcurrent fault output for quick short-circuit detection, enhancing overall system protection. Packaged in a space-saving EZ 4x4mm QFN, it features an impressively low internal conductor resistance of 100 μΩ, which minimizes power loss and withstands high inrush currents. Its differential sensing design with dual Hall plates ensures high common-mode field rejection, making it resilient to external magnetic fields.

The ACS37220 by Allegro MicroSystems is an excellent choice for high-current, low-voltage applications, especially in motor drives and in-line current sensing, where precision and efficiency are paramount.

Packaging Details

The ACS37220 is offered in the small footprint 7-pin EZ package. The EZ package is a 4x4mm QFN with wettable flank and features a low internal conductor resistance of 100 μΩ for low power loss and high inrush current withstand capability. This package is designed to measure currents up to 200A.
