NIC Components NSPE-YP & NSPE-UT Series Hybrid Polymer Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors

Featuring exceptional performance, a rugged design and long lifespan

NIC Components presents the NSPE-YP and NSPE-UT series, which are part of NIC’s high-performance Hybrid Polymer Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitor product lines. These capacitors offer exceptional performance, rugged design, and long lifespan ratings of up to 150°C, making them ideal for various electrical engineering applications, especially in the field of electric vehicles (EVs) and networking infrastructure.

The NSPE-YP series offers a wide range of capacitance values in reduced case sizes, all while maintaining a long lifetime rating of 4,000 hours at +135°C. Capacitance values range from 220uF to 1,800uF, and voltage ratings span from 16VDC to 35VDC.

The NSPE-UT series focuses on performance with ultra-low ESR and high ripple current ratings while ensuring a 4,000 hour endurance rating at 150°C. Capacitance values range from 22uF to 1,000uF, and voltage ratings span from 16VDC to 80VDC.

The robust capabilities of the NSPE-YP and NSPE-UT series are of particular significance to electrical engineers working with EVs, as well as those involved in base stations, servers, routers, and switches. These capacitors provide consistent performance even in demanding environments, guaranteeing reliability and longevity. Therefore, they are an excellent choice for critical infrastructure components in electrical engineering applications.

Hybrid polymer capacitors combine the best elements of solid polymer and liquid electrolyte construction to provide circuit designers with several advantages. These include ultra-low equivalent series resistance (ESR), high ripple current ratings, low leakage current, and superior stability over voltage and temperature. In comparison to tantalum capacitors with solid construction and solid polymer aluminum electrolytic capacitors, the inclusion of liquid electrolyte brings benefits such as high surge voltage resistance, self-healing properties, and prevention of open mode wear-out.
