More Information on Dividers...

What is a Divider?

A frequency divider is a circuit that takes an input signal of a frequency fin and generates an output signal of a frequency fout, where fout = fin / n and ‘‘n’’ is an integer. Frequency dividers are used for both analog and digital applications. Analog frequency dividers are used only at very high frequencies. Digital dividers can work up to tens of GHz.

Types of Dividers

There are many different kinds of dividers. At Future Electronics we stock many of the most common types categorized by supply current, supply voltage, frequency range, packaging type and input power. The parametric filters on our website can help refine your search results depending on the required specifications.

The most common sizes for supply current are 4.5 mA, 5.3 mA and 30 mA. We also carry dividers with supply current up to 37 mA. Frequncy can range from 100 MHz to 5 GHz, with the most common sizes being 1 GHz, 1.1 GHz and 3 GHz.

Dividers from Future Electronics

Future Electronics has a full selection of programmable fractional dividers from several manufacturers that can be used for circuits such as an rf frequency divider, digital frequency divider circuit, analog frequency divider, frequency divider by 3 or any frequency divider chip. Simply choose from the divider technical attributes below and your search results will quickly be narrowed in order to match your specific divider application needs.

If you have a preferred brand, we deal with several manufacturers such as California Eastern Lab, Micrel Semiconductor, Hittite Microwave, Murata or ON Semiconductor. You can easily refine your divider product search results by clicking your preferred divider brand below from our list of manufacturers.

Applications for Dividers:

Frequency dividers can be implemented for both analog and digital applications. They can be used for improving the performance of electronic countermeasures equipment, communications systems and laboratory instruments. Frequency dividers and multipliers are key components of modern RF and microwave systems. Their main application is in frequency synthesis.

Choosing the Right Divider:

When you are looking for the right dividers, with the FutureElectronics.com parametric search, you can filter the results by various attributes: by Supply Current (3 uA, 4.5 mA, 5.3 mA, 30 mA,…), Supply Voltage (2.2 V to 5.7 V) and Frequency Range (from 100 MHz to 5 GHz) to name a few. You will be able to find the right chip for your circuit or rf frequency divider, digital frequency divider, analog frequency divider, frequency divider by 3 or any frequency divider circuits.

Dividers in Production Ready Packaging or R&D Quantities

If the quantity of dividers that you require is less than a full reel, we offer customers many of our programmable divider products in tube, tray or individual quantities that will help you avoid unneeded surplus.

In addition, Future Electronics offers clients a unique bonded inventory program that is designed to eliminate potential problems that could arise from an unpredictable supply of products containing raw metals and products with long or erratic lead times.
