More Information on Reed Relays...
What is a Reed Relay?
A reed relay, which uses an electromagnet to control one or several reed switches, has contacts which are mounted on magnetic reeds that are scaled into a long narrow glass tube. An actuating coil is wound on an auxiliary ferrite-core structure or around the glass tube in order to provide the magnetic field that is required for the relay to operate.
Types of Reed Relays
Reed relays might be older technology, but whenever you need switching speed and long life, Future Electronics has a Reed Relay portfolio offering small, lightweight reed relay solutions that are quicker and more reliable than traditional general purpose relays. Our parametric filters help refine your reed relay search results by Contact Arrangement, Contact Current, Coil Voltage and Termination Style. We have a huge selection of Dry Reed as well as Dual In-line Reed relays in SPST, SPDT and DPST combinations, with Coil Voltages from 5 Volts (5V, 12V and 24V DC being the most common).
The most common sizes for Maximum Contact Current are 250 mA and 500 mA. The parametric filters on our website can help refine your search results depending on the required specifications.
Reed Relays from Future Electronics
Future Electronics’ reed relay selection can be additionally refined by DIP & SIP package styles. You may also select product by termination type such as Axial Leaded Reed Relays or PCB mounted Reed Relays. Future Electronics has a complete selection of reed relays from several manufacturers that can be used as a DPDT, SPDT, DPST or SPST reed relay, magnetic reed switch, high voltage reed relays or for any reed relay circuit requiring reed switches. Simply choose from the reed relay technical attributes below and your search results will quickly be narrowed in order to match your specific reed relay application needs.
If you have a preferred brand, you can easily refine your reed relay search results by choosing your preferred reed relay brand below.

Choosing the Right Reed Relay:
When you are looking for the right reed relays, you can filter the results by various attributes with the FutureElectronics.com parametric search: by Maximum Contact Current (250 mA to 10 A), Nominal Coil Voltage (5 V, 12 V, 24 V, 200 V, …) and Termination Style (PCB, PC Pin,…) to name a few. The parametric filters on our website can help refine your search results depending on the required specifications to find the right DPST, DPDT, SPDT or SPST reed relay, high voltage reed relays, magnetic reed switch or for any reed relay circuit requiring reed switches.
Reed Relays in Production Ready Packaging or R&D Quantities
If the quantity of reed relays you need is significantly less than a full reel quantity, many of our reed relay products are also available on mini-reels - still production ready, without any unwanted surplus.
