More Information on DRAM...
What is DRAM?
DRAM (or Dynamic Random Access Memory) is a type of RAM (random access memory) which stores each bit of data into a separate capacitor in an integrated circuit. The capacitor can be discharged or charged and these two states represent the two values of a bit (0 and 1). DRAM is ‘‘dynamic’’ because the storage cells need to be refreshed or given an electronic charge periodically due to charge leaks in capacitors. The advantage of DRAM resides in its simplicity: only one capacitor and one transistor are required per bit (compared to SRAM that has four or six transistors).
DRAMs from Future Electronics
Future Electronics has a wide range of DRAMs from several manufacturers. You can purchase DRAM as Components or as Modules.
Future Electronics offers the following types of DRAM Components: SDRAM, DDR1, DDR2, DDR3, DDR4, LPSDRAM, LPDDR1 and LPDDR2.
Future Electronics offers DDR3 and DDR4 Server and Desktop Memory Modules. At FutureElectronics.com you can find DRAM Modules in the following formats: DIMM, SODIMM, LRDIMM, VLP-DIMM in ECC and non-ECC versions.
Future Electronics is able to help you with upgrades for your gaming computers and laptops by offering ultra-fast DRAM Modules for extreme performance and maximum peace of mind.
We stock many of the most common types categorized by several parameters including memory density, configuration, nominal supply voltage, CAS Latency, speed grade and packaging type. Our parametric filters will allow you to refine your search results according to the required specifications.
Applications for DRAMs:
DRAM is widely used in Mobile and Storage applications and it is the most common kind of RAM found in servers, workstations, PCs and gaming consoles.
Some DRAMs have high speed interfaces, while others have speed enhancing internal architectures. DRAMs with low power internal design techniques are used in battery operated systems. Some DRAM memories are also used for graphics enhancements like high speed point-to-point interfaces as well as several internal graphics functions.
DRAMs in Production Ready Packaging or R&D Quantities
If the quantity of DRAMs you require is less than a full reel, we also offer many of these devices in trays, tubes or individual quantities that will help you avoid unwanted excess.
Future Electronics also offers its clients a unique bonded inventory program designed to eliminate potential problems that may arise from an unpredictable supply of products that could contain raw metals and products with erratic or long lead times. Talk with your nearest Future Electronics branch and find out more on how you and your company can avoid possible shortages.
