The BH1710FVC is a 16bit serial digital output ambient light sensor IC that is composed of photodiodes, current-voltage converter circuit, A / D converter, control logic circuits, interface circuits and etc. It connects with I2C Bus in equipment.

The IC is mostly suitable to obtain the ambient light data fro adjusting LCD and keypad backlight of mobile phone for power saving and better visibility. It is possible to detect wide range at high resolution (1 – 65535 lux).
