Feature-rich kit speeds development on STM32H573 security MCU

Users of the STM32H573I-DK kit from STMicroelectronics can model the functions of the application thanks to an array of expansion options for Arduino, Pmod and other shield boards.

The STM32H573I-DK Discovery kit from STMicroelectronics is a complete demonstration and development platform for the STM32H573IIK3Q microcontroller, which provides a comprehensive set of security features for protecting connected devices.

Based on an Arm® Cortex®‑M33 core and 2 Mbytes of Flash memory, the STM32H573 features an encryption accelerator engine which supports the AES, PKA, and OTFDEC algorithms. The STM32H573 also includes an ST-iROT pre-configured immutable root of trust, with secure boot, firmware update, serial loader, and secure debug mechanisms.

The security features of the Cortex-M33 core, which complies with the PSA Certified Level 3 and GlobalPlatform SESIP3 security specifications, include the Arm TrustZone® architecture. On top of this, ST has added its own security services, including the STM32Trust TEE Secure Manager, which saves developers from writing their own security software code, and provides security services which are developed according to industry best practice. This simplifies development while ensuring effective protection.

The range of hardware features available on the STM32H573I-DK board helps users to interface with the STM32H573 security capabilities and broad range of peripherals. A variety of options are provided to make it easy to connect extension shields or daughterboards.

The kit is supplied with a 1.54″ TFT color display touchscreen with a resolution of 240 px x 240 px. Data transfer is supported by USB 2.0 Full-Speed and 10/100 Mbits/s Ethernet interfaces and a Wi-Fi® module. The USB interface also provides sink/source power capability up to 15 W.
