The latest USB Type-C® surface-mount receptacles from TE Connectivity support the high data-transfer rate specified in the new USB 4 standard, as well as providing reliable charging functionality. Capable of transferring data at rates up to 40 Gbits/s, the connectors can deliver up to 100 W of power.
The receptacles have a distinctive EMI shield on the back of the shell to help eliminate unwanted EMI leakage, maintaining excellent signal integrity even in harsh environments.
The connectors are manufactured with an advanced insert moulding process to help avoid pin warping, and are capable of withstanding up to 10,000 mating cycles.
The connectors support audio and video signals as well as data and power, and are backwards-compatible with Thunderbolt™ 3, USB 3 and USB 2.0 connectors. The connectors also support a variety of other protocols, enabling them to be used to connect to devices with an HDMI, VGA or DisplayPort interface via an adapter.
