The APV3111GVY, the latest addition to the Panasonic Industry range of photovoltaic MOSFET drivers, can provide a high output voltage to directly switch MOSFETs, or a high output current to rapidly charge the MOSFET’s gate when high-speed switching is required. The driver is ideal for applications which require high isolation between the control and power elements of a circuit.
The high-power APV3111GVY offers a choice of two output modes. It can supply:
In either mode, the driver features a turn-on time of 0.1 ms and a turn-off time of 0.4 ms.
These characteristics enable designers to use the APV3111GVY to drive high-power MOSFETs that have low on-resistance directly, reducing a power system’s component count and size.
The APV3111GVY photovoltaic MOSFET drivers are supplied in a miniature SSOP housing, and provide galvanic separation of 1.5 kV between the control circuit and the power output circuit.
