Monitoring IC saves space in high-voltage inverter and battery circuits

The NJU7890 from Nisshinbo Micro Devices is a power-measurement IC which can monitor a voltage of up to 1,000 V dc. Housed in a unique package which maintains a long creepage distance and features integrated sense resistors, the NJU7890 helps power-system designers to reduce the size of the monitoring circuit in high-voltage circuits by up to 90% compared to discrete solutions.

This monitoring chip achieves high performance, offering precise gain without the need for adjustment.

 

The NJU7890 is ideal for applications including battery voltage monitoring and monitoring the supply voltage of inverters in electric vehicles, solar energy systems and industrial applications.

 

The NJU7890YPM is supplied in a PMAP11 package measuring 8.1 mm × 8.1 mm × 1.8 mm.
