Infineon CYT2B7 Traveo T2G Microcontrollers

Dual-core automotive MCUs feature rich set of connectivity and security functions

The CYT2B7 family of dual-core Traveo™ T2G microcontrollers from Infineon includes a wide range of peripheral functions and security capabilities optimized for the needs of automotive and transportation applications such as body control units, seat and ventilation controls, gateways and LED lighting controllers.

The CYT2B7 MCUs’ dual-core architecture features a 160 MHz Arm® Cortex®-M4 core for primary processing functions, and a 100 MHz Cortex-M0+ CPU for peripheral functions and security processing. Memory provision includes 1 Mbyte of code Flash, 96 kbytes of work Flash, and 128 kbytes of SRAM.

The CYT2B7 supports the connectivity requirements of automotive applications with embedded peripherals for CAN FD with up to six channels, and an up to eight-channel LIN networking interface. The CYT2B7 MCUs also include low-power Flash memory which offers a dual-bank mode to enable firmware over-the-air (FOTA) software updates. Multiple high-performance analog and digital peripherals include three SAR ADCs, a real-time clock and calendar, and up to 75 16-bit and four 32-bit timer/counter/PWM blocks.

To provide a secure computing platform for automotive applications, these MCUs feature a cryptography engine which supports the implementation of an enhanced Secure Hardware Extension (eSHE), a hardware security module, and secure boot and authentication. The Traveo T2G family also offers Autosar microcontroller abstraction layer (MCAL), Flash EEPROM emulation, and other automotive software functions.

The cryptography engine supports AES with 128-/192-/256-bit keys, 3DES with a 64-bit key, and a vector unit running asymmetric-key cryptographic algorithms such as RSA and ECC.
