Automotive MLCCs provide reliable operation up to 125°C

The MCAS family of multi-layer ceramic capacitors from TAIYO YUDEN features a monolithic structure and advanced electrode design which give high reliability across a range of automotive applications.

TAIYO YUDEN supplies the automotive-grade MCAS series multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs) for use in body and chassis applications and infotainment systems.

The AEC-Q200 qualified MCAS series devices are available in standard case sizes and in a wide range of capacitance values. Their monolithic structure provides for high reliability in demanding automotive operating environments.

The use of nickel as the electrode material and plating processing improve the capacitors’ solderability and heat resistance. The MCAS series products’ construction also prevents migration and improves reliability.

These MLCCs are intended for use as coupling, decoupling, filtering, and smoothing capacitors.
