FTM / Intelligent Sensing / STMicroelectronics — Teseo-LIV4F GNSS Receiver Module
The Teseo-LIV4F from STMicroelectronics is a low-power, stand-alone satellite positioning receiver module. The module is based on a Teseo IV receiver IC which works simultaneously on multiple constellations, GPS, Galileo, Glonass, BeiDou, and QZSS, and supports regional satellite-based augmentation systems (SBAS).
As well as the Teseo IV receiver IC, the Teseo-LIV4F module includes an integrated low-noise amplifier and SAW filter, temperature-controlled crystal oscillator, and real-time clock crystal, in an LCC-18 package that has a footprint of just 9.7 mm x 10.1 mm.
The Teseo-LIV4F, by providing dual-band capability, gives OEMs a competitive edge in applications that require extra accuracy on top of that provided as standard by global navigation satellite systems. The dual-band L1+L5 receiver helps improve signal availability, producing positioning data in challenging operating environments such as an urban canyon, inside an automobile, or in multipath and noisy environments. SBAS support improves the accuracy and reliability of satellite positioning information: the Teseo-LIV4F is accurate to within 0.7 m under an open sky at CEP 50%.
