The STMicroelectronics STM32L4P5, part of the STM32L4+ family of low-power microcontrollers, enables system developers to restrict power consumption to new low levels while offering the high performance of an Arm® Cortex®-M4 core operating at 120MHz.
The STM32L4P5 MCU, which supports a comprehensive set of power-saving modes, is ideal for use in wearable devices and other applications which require sophisticated functions, instant responses and a long run-time on a battery power source.
The Cortex-M4 core in the STM32L4P5 MCU includes a single-precision floating-point unit which supports all the Arm single-precision data-processing instructions and data types. The Cortex-M4 core also implements a full set of DSP instructions, and a memory protection unit which enhances the application’s security.
High-speed memory provision includes up to 1Mbyte of Flash memory and 320kbytes of SRAM, plus a flexible external memory controller for static memories, and two OctoSPI Flash memory interfaces, in parts with at least 100 pins. The memory resources are backed by protection mechanisms: read-out protection, write protection, proprietary code read-out protection, and a firewall.

This STM32 Nucleo evaluation board features an STM32L4P5 microcontroller, with three user LEDs, two user and reset push-buttons, a 32.768kHz crystal oscillator, and an SWDST Zio expansion connector which includes an Arduino Uno V3ST morpho expansion connector.
