The NJL5830R from Nisshinbo Micro Devices Inc. is a reflective sensor which integrates a high-power infrared LED and a photosensitive IC in a package measuring 3.6mm x 5.8mm x 1.2mm.
By using this product, designers can enable touchless operation of devices, eliminating the need for the user to touch buttons. Touchless operation of buttons on public equipment helps to prevent the spread of infection and improves hygiene.
The NJL5830R is highly immune to ambient light, which means that the reflective sensor can be used in outdoor applications in lighting conditions up to 10,000 lux.
