Hirose Electric DF50 Series Wire-to-Board Connectors

Featuring robust lock for secure mating

The DF50 series of wire-to-board connectors from Hirose offers high termination strength and reliability in industrial applications. 

 

The series consists of single- and double-row compact receptacles and headers in vertical and horizontal configurations. The connectors have surface-mount contacts and a pitch of 1mm, and occupy a small mounting area on the board. The DF50 connector has a double-row configuration of 20, 30, 40 or 50 contacts, and the DF50A has a single-row configuration of 2 to 16 contacts

 

The DF50 series connectors feature a metal lock which provides a consistent and positive tactile click with repetitive mating. This ensures the connector is fully engaged, providing a complete electrical and mechanical connection. The lock is located at the centre of the connector to avoid uneven locking and cable entanglement.

 

The housings have thick and sturdy walls to prevent cracking. A long insertion depth and blade contacts prevent damage caused by wrenching forces. The receptacle features a robust and reliable lance structure which keeps the contacts securely in place even when high forces are applied to the cable. Gold-plated contacts with a long effective mating length offer high reliability.
