Dialight — 515 Series Optopipe^® Light Pipes

Dialight has added new products to its 515 series of Optopipe^® light pipes. The light pipes may be used to funnel light from surface-mount LEDs to a front panel.

Made from clear polycarbonate with a diameter of either 3mm or 5mm, the light pipes can be used with single- or multi-color LEDs. Available with a domed, convex or flat lens, which can be clear or diffused, the pipes are supplied in a range of lengths, from the shortest at 2.54mm to the longest at 30.48mm. The products can also be customized.

For designs in which the PCB is parallel to the front panel, Dialight supplies panel-mount or board-mount versions, which are secured to the board with a custom snap-fit base for easy installation. A right-angle panel-mount option is available for applications in which the PCB is perpendicular to the front panel. The light pipes are secured to the front panel with a press fitting.
