The STSPIN820 is a stepper motor driver which integrates control logic and an efficient power stage in a 4 mm x 4 mm QFN package.
The integrated controller implements PWM current control with fixed Off time. Microstepping resolution of up to 1/256th of a step provides for tight control, and smooth and silent rotary motion. The high- and low-side MOSFETs in the power stage have a combined on-resistance of 1 Ω, keeping conduction losses low and contributing to high system efficiency.
The STSPIN820 offers a complete set of protection features including over-current, over-temperature, under-voltage lock-out, thermal shut-down, and short-circuit protection. In battery-powered systems and other applications which require low power consumption, the driver can be forced into a low-power state.

The EVALSP820-XS provides a compact solution for evaluating the performance of the STSPIN820 stepper motor driver. It requires minimal additional equipment and operates without the need for an additional device.
