Three-phase 10 kW power supply offers high efficiency in high-power industrial applications

The SHP-10K from MEAN WELL provides users with confidence in its reliable operation, thanks to a range of digital control and monitoring features, and compliance with international safety standards.

The new SHP-10K three-phase digital power supply from MEAN WELL, which is intended for use in high-power industrial applications, provides a maximum power output of 10 kW at up to 97% efficiency. Active current sharing of up to four units connected in parallel can provide a total system power capability of up to 40 kW.

Operating from an ac input, the SHP-10K is available in four versions with a dc output of 55 V, 115 V, 230 V or 380 V. MEAN WELL also offers a choice of two cooling methods: forced-air cooling with built-in fans, or water cooling. Produced in a form factor smaller than 2U, the power supply can be installed in a standard 19” rack cabinet.

Thanks to the digital architecture of the SHP-10K, the output voltage and current are programmable via its CAN interface. MEAN WELL also offers the option of PMBus or MODBus communication protocols. To support reliable operation, the SHP-10K provides various monitoring signal outputs:
