KYOCERA AVX — 70-9296 Poke Home Contacts

The 70-9296 series of dual-beam, boxed contacts from AVX, part of the STRIPT™ family of contact systems, provides a simple and reliable wire-to-board alternative to full-sized one- and two-piece connector solutions.

The 70-9296 system consists of contacts which are surface-mounted to the PCB. Solid or stranded wires can be stripped to length and inserted into the contact.

The dual-beam contacts of the 70-9296 maximize wire retention force to give highly reliable terminations. Integral wire guides and a wire stop ensure proper positioning of the wire.

The 70-9296 contacts are also available with no wire stop to make it easier to assemble with solid pins in board-to-board and module-to-module applications.

AVX also supplies compatible 10-9296 board-to-board jumper pins. The pins absorb board and module mating tolerances by allowing the unrestricted pin to pass through the contact, eliminating the traditional wire stop.

The pins are available in multiple pin lengths and diameters. The insulator can be made watertight when matched with a corresponding housing cavity.
