FTM / Industrial Automation and Industry 4.0 / Infineon — NBT2000 NFC I2C Tag
The Infineon OPTIGA Authenticate NBT is a high-performance NFC I2C bridge tag for secure human-machine interfaces (HMIs). The bridge tag enables fast, contactless NFC communication between an IoT device I2C interface and a contactless NFC reader such as a smartphone.
A Type 4 Tag certified by the NFC Forum, the OPTIGA Authenticate NBT can be used for single-tap authentication and secure configuration of an IoT device via an app on the user’s smartphone. The tag provides high security because of the Integrity Guard 32 security architecture. It also holds EAL6+ security certification for both the hardware and cryptographic libraries.
The NFC I2C bridge tag supports both symmetric and asymmetric cryptographic authentication, as well as pass-through and asynchronous data communication modes. These can be used for a variety of applications such as:
Featuring an 8 kbyte memory, the NBT offers ample space to store customer- and application-specific configuration information. High on-chip capacitance facilitates smaller antenna designs for an optimized bill-of-materials and tiny board footprint.
Part supported: OPTIGA™ Authenticate NBT
Kit part number: NBT2000A8K0T4KITV1TOBO1
The OPTIGA™ Authenticate NBT development kit from Infineon is ideal for the quick and simple evaluation of the OPTIGA Authenticate NBT I2C NFC bridge tag using reference use cases available through GitHub.
The kit simplifies the development of custom applications using a PSoC™ host MCU based on the reference applications. After detaching the adaptor board, the shield may also be used separately for evaluation and application development using other MCU boards.
