Greenliant — ArmourDrive 89 Series SSDs

The 89 series of SATA 2.5” solid-state drives (SSDs) from Greenliant is ideal for applications in which hot-swappable and reliable data storage with low power consumption is required. These SSDs are part of the ArmourDrive™ product family, which also includes SSDs in NVMe M.2, SATA M.2 and mSATA form factors.

The 89 series SSDs are available in industrial and commercial versions with capacities ranging from 32 Gbytes to 3.84 Tbytes, and with optional DRAM. The industrial devices have a wide operating-temperature range of -40°C to 85°C and meet the stringent requirements of industrial shock and vibration specifications.

The SATA SSD controllers in the 89 series communicate with the host through standard SATA 6 Gbits/s, 3 Gbits/s and 1.5 Gbits/s and ATA/ATAPI-8 protocols. They use advanced NAND Flash memory management firmware with a wide range of intelligent features, such as power interrupt data protection, error checking and correction, advanced wear-leveling algorithms, bad block management and SMART command support.

The controller supports native command queueing of up to 32 commands to optimize the order in which data are saved. The SSD requires no additional or proprietary software in the host system.

Advanced data security measures include end-to-end data path protection, data sanitization and optional AES encryption, compliant with the specifications of the Trusted Computing Group (TCG) Opal scheme. The devices also provide secure erase and crypto erase functions.

The 89 series SSDs offer data read speeds of up to 550 Mbits/s and sequential data write speeds of up to 530 Mbits/s. The mean time between failures for these devices can reach more than 2 million hours. Endurance is 3,000 program/erase cycles or as high as 6,114 Tbytes written in the 3.84 Tbyte SSD.
