FTM / Embedded Processing and Software / Murata — DLW21SH391XQ2 Common-Mode Choke Coil
The latest automotive common-mode choke coils from Murata, the DLW21SH391XQ2 and DLW21PH201XQ2, provide highly effective suppression of noise in high-speed interfaces which use SerDes on Power-over-Coax (PoC) lines.
These new Murata choke coils have been introduced in response to rising demand for components for video, imaging and ranging systems in new vehicle designs. The SerDes PoC interfaces used by imaging sensor technologies such as vehicle-mounted cameras, LiDAR, and radar require higher current than conventional differential interfaces, which operate on currents measured in a few tens of milliamps. The new Murata DLW21 series choke coils handle up to 500 mA.
The need for noise suppression in SerDes PoC interfaces has come to the fore because of the small dimensions of the imaging sensor modules, which leave little space to increase the extent of the ground traces on the PCB.
The DLW21SH391XQ2 and DLW21PH201XQ2 are the ideal choice for these applications, because of the combination of a small 2.0 mm x 1.2 mm footprint and high common-mode noise attenuation.
