USB Type-C connectors feature special EMI shielding

TE Connectivity’s range includes new USB 4 Gen 3 receptacles rated for up to 40 Gbits/s

USB Type-C® connectors from TE Connectivity (TE) provide a sleek, slim design small enough for handheld devices and small home appliances, and robust enough for industrial applications.

The latest additions to the TE portfolio are USB Type-C (USB 4 Gen 3) receptacle connectors. They provide the premium performance required by applications such as mobile phones and notebooks, which demand data transfer speeds up to 40 Gbits/s alongside reliable charging functionality.

The TE USB Type-C connectors feature a reversible mating interface, and a receptacle which accepts a plug in any direction, enabling easy, reliable mating. They support various protocols, and with the use of adapters are backwards-compatible with HDMI, VGA, DisplayPort, and other types of connections from a single USB Type-C port.

The TE USB Type-C connectors feature distinctive shielding on the back of the receptacle shell to reduce unwanted EMI leakage. The connectors also provide enhanced board retention features.
