FTM / Connectivity / SCHURTER — FMBC EP Power Supply Filter
The new FMBC EP family of double-stage filters for three-phase power systems from SCHURTER is ideally suited to the space-constrained board designs in today’s industrial plant and machines.
The FMBC EP filters benefit from a completely new design which is much more compact than previous generations of SCHURTER filters. The new FMBC EP models are the ideal replacement for all types of SCHURTER FMBC and FMBC NEO filters: they offer identical performance with substantially smaller dimensions and lower weight.
The double-stage FMBC EP filters offer excellent noise attenuation thanks to the use of high-quality components including large film capacitors, and chokes with highly permeable cores. This means that the filters are appropriate for industrial applications which generate high EMI emissions. The FMBC EP filters are compatible with the requirements of the IEC/UL 62368-1 standard.
The filters have screw terminals for the safe termination of wiring. A metal flange ensures there is an excellent earth connection when screwed to the chassis.
The standard types can be used over a wide temperature range from -40°C to 100°C. The filters are designed for currents from 16 A to 230 A at an ambient temperature of 50°C.
