The US159-DA14531EVZ Bluetooth® Pmod™ module from Renesas provides a ready-made way to add low-power Bluetooth Low Energy capability to any evaluation kit or microcontroller board that is equipped with a Pmod expansion interface.
The US159-DA14531EVZ, which features a type 3A Pmod connector, is based on the DA14531 SmartBond TINY™ module. The module itself features the small, ultra low-power DA14531 Bluetooth 5.1 system-on-chip.
Because of the US159-DA14531EVZ’s support for standard connector interfaces and software, it is ideal for use as part of the Renesas Quick-Connect IoT platform, which enables developers to rapidly create an IoT system design.
The DA14531 SmartBond TINY™ module provides complete radio system functionality. It features an Arm® Cortex®-M0+ processor core operating at 16 MHz, backed by 4 kbytes of RAM, 32 kbytes of one-time-programmable memory and 1 Mbit of Flash memory. With an integrated chip antenna, the module holds the necessary certificates for worldwide use.
