Ultra high-output LED offers excellent efficacy and robustness in applications emitting thousands of lumens

Producing up to 2000 lm, the new LUXEON 7070 LED from Lumileds provides the power, efficacy, and solution cost reductions which manufacturers of industrial, area and exterior lighting fixtures need.

The LUXEON 7070, which has a standard 7 mm x 7 mm footprint, outperforms similar high-power solutions, offering superior efficacy and light output in a small, robust surface-mount package. The LED benefits from a special treatment designed for superior lumen maintenance and corrosion resistance in demanding environments such as at the top of a high mast.

A LUXEON 7070 LED produces three times higher light output than a typical 5050 LED, and with similar efficacy. This allows for lower LED density, enabling manufacturers to reduce the size and cost of the PCB, and optimize the heat-sink and optical system.

Engineers from Lumileds and Future Lighting Solutions have developed a comprehensive ecosystem including drivers, heat-sinks, optics, and technical know-how to support manufacturers in the design and production of LUXEON 7070-based luminaires.
