Ezurio BL5340 Bluetooth Module

Bluetooth wireless modules include dual cores to run application functions

The Ezurio BL5340 Bluetooth^® Low Energy (LE) wireless modules with dual microcontroller cores provide a single-component solution for many applications.

The BL5340 modules feature a dual-core Arm^® Cortex^®-M33 microcontroller: one high-speed core with 1 Mbyte of Flash and 512 kbytes of RAM can run the application, while the second, low-power Cortex-M33 core running at 64 MHz with 256 kbytes of Flash and 53 kbytes of RAM can run multi-protocol connectivity functions.

The BL5340 series supports a suite of features specified in the Bluetooth 5.2 protocol standard, including isochronous channels and LE Audio for stereo streaming and broadcast audio. The modules also support the IEEE 802.15.4 protocol for Thread and Zigbee connectivity, and have an NFC contactless interface.

Security is managed with an Arm CryptoCell-312 block which implements trusted execution, root-of-trust, and secure key-storage functions. The modules also implement the Arm TrustZone technology for secure partitioning of trusted and non-trusted functions.

The BL5340 modules are available in two versions:

With an integrated antenna, in a package with a footprint of 15 mm x 10 mm
With a trace pad for an external antenna, in a package with a footprint of 15mm x 10mm. This variant is pre-certified for six antenna options, for all the supported radio certifications.
