FTM / Connectivity / GCT — SIM Card Connectors
GCT supplies a range of Nano, Micro and standard SIM connectors with various card insertion formats, to enable designers to optimize the connector features for each application.
All three connector sizes are available with each of the card insertion formats: hinged, push-push, and push-pull. Some of the SIM connectors are additionally available with a card detection switch and with a locating peg.
The GCT range of SIM card connectors includes shock- and vibration-tested parts, the SIM8060 and the SIM7200. The SIM8060 is the first hinged Nano SIM connector to include a card detection switch. It combines a compact footprint with a secure locking lid to retain the SIM card in place.
The SIM8060 also features an innovative, normally open card-detect mechanism with split-contact design, integrated with contact 5. The circuit is closed once a Nano SIM card is inserted.
This connector is tested for compliance with the EIA-364-27 and EIA-364-28 standards for mechanical shock and vibration tolerance.
GCT also supplies a dual-SIM connector, the SIM6050, a 2FF SIM connector with a 3.0 mm profile. It handles a minimum 5,000 mating cycles, and is rated for a maximum current of 0.5 A.
