FTM / Connectivity / Diodes Incorporated — ZXCT199 Current Monitors
Diodes Incorporated has introduced a series of bidirectional current monitors which accurately measure very low sense voltages across a wide range of common-mode voltages.
The new DIODES™ ZXCT199 series features a low offset voltage and zero drift, enabling it to sense large currents with maximum full-scale drops across the shunt of as little as 10 mV. This allows high currents to be measured with the use of an inexpensive, low-value shunt resistor.
Consisting of nine variants, the ZXCT199 series current monitors feature a precision chopper-stabilized operational amplifier for accurate operation.
The ZXCT199 current monitors produce a voltage output, and are available in three fixed voltage-gain options:
The devices show minimal drift of 0.5 µV/°C across the operating-temperature range of -40°C to 125°C. For the versions marked A and B, the maximum gain error over temperature is ±1.0%, while for the C version, it is ±0.8%.
The ZXCT199 products can measure voltages across shunts at common-mode voltages ranging between -0.1 V and 26 V, independent of the supply voltage.
